Dental Inlays & Onlays in Goodyear, AZ

Exceptional Restorative Options at Desert Vista Dental West

When tooth damage surpasses the capabilities of standard fillings yet does not necessitate the use of a full crown, dental inlays and onlays present an excellent alternative. At Desert Vista Dental West, we craft personalized restorations that maintain your tooth's natural structure while delivering durable protection. These porcelain or composite options harmoniously integrate with your existing teeth, ensuring both functional and visual appeal.

Benefits of Choosing Inlays and Onlays Instead of Conventional Fillings

Dental inlays and onlays offer enhanced longevity compared to typical amalgam or composite fillings. These indirect restorations are manufactured in a specialized lab, resulting in a precise fit and bolstered strength. Unlike larger fillings that may compromise tooth integrity over time, inlays and onlays fortify damaged teeth. Crafted from biocompatible materials, they resist staining and wear, preserving their pristine appearance for many years with proper care.

• Tailor-made fit prevents gaps where bacteria could thrive.
• Conserves more of the healthy tooth structure than crowns.
• Remarkable durability when combined with good oral hygiene.

The Process of Receiving Inlays and Onlays

Your journey towards receiving a dental inlay or onlay commences with the meticulous preparation of the affected tooth, ensuring decay is removed while healthy enamel is safeguarded. Dr. Joy Collier and our team capture precise impressions that reflect every detail of your tooth's preparation. A temporary restoration shields your tooth as the lab fabricates your bespoke inlay or onlay. During your follow-up appointment, the permanent restoration is securely bonded, restoring both the functionality and natural look of your smile in Goodyear, Arizona.
